About Bettina Pries

Bettina Pries is the author behind the thrilling "Rise of the Phoenix" series, a compelling sports romance set in the high-stakes world of soccer/football.

 

Born in 1986, Bettina lives in Graz, Austria, with her longtime partner and son. Her love affair with reading and writing began in early childhood—a passion that never faded. Her academic path, including studies in journalism and communications, only deepened her connection to the written word. This lifelong passion for storytelling shaped her career as a copywriter, editor, and PR manager before she turned her focus to fiction.

 

Bettina loves to craft stories about powerful connections forged in chaotic, real-world settings, often featuring heroes who know how to score on the field and off. While German is her native language, her early fascination with English led her to become an avid consumer of English-language media; she now exclusively reads in English and enjoys movies and TV shows in the original language whenever she can.

When she's not busy writing about her goal-scoring heroes, she’s enjoying downtime with her family, whether she's playing with her son or just relaxing with her partner.
